Residents of the village are friendly and welcoming, and the village is home to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, one of the top academic research institutions in America. Things to Do
If you're in Cold Spring Harbor, you'll need to check out the Whaling Museum. It's a great place to learn more about the history of Cold Spring Harbor! Another place to visit if you're interested in fish or fishing is the Fish Hatchery. It's a kid-friendly learning center for families to visit and learn about the area's different types of aquatic life. You can also see the outdoor ponds to feed fish or go fishing for trout.
