Welcome to Patchogue

One of the top places to live in the United States

Patchogue is a village considered part of the town of Brookhaven in New York. It's located on the south shore of Long Island, and residents and tourists have access to Fire Island. What used to be a quiet village is now a bustling place with a lively main street. Patchogue was founded in the 1700s too, so it has quite the historical value. Despite being small, there are many things to do here. The American Planning Association named Patchogue among the list of “Great Places in America" — a top place to live in the United States.

Local Lifestyle

Patchogue may be a small village, but that doesn't stop it from having a lively, bustling atmosphere. Patchogue residents spend their days shopping, eating at renowned restaurants, and attending amazing events held in town. At any time of day or year, you can find something fun to do in the small village.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Everyone likes to find excellent restaurants when they’re out and about. Fortunately, Patchogue is home to some pretty great places! One example of these restaurants is Lombardi's on the Bay. It's an upscale steakhouse in the village focusing on Italian-style cuisine. The coolest thing about Lombardi's might be its tiered deck that allows patrons to look over the bay. You get a great view paired with delicious food!

If a pub is more your style, then try out James Joyce. It's an Irish restaurant in Patchogue that offers excellent food, draft beer, and cocktails, with a cozy interior. Their interior is arguably one of the most beautiful in the village, so that alone often attracts people to the restaurant. Another restaurant with a great bar is Perabell, an eatery that offers globally inspired dishes instead of just Irish.

Try out some of the Caribbean food offered at Rhum if you have the chance. As the name might imply, they serve many rum-based drinks. This restaurant also has a rooftop deck you can choose to eat on. Or, if you're a seafood lover, you could visit The Oar. Instead of a rooftop deck to eat on, they have dockside seating. The Oar also has live music every week for customers to enjoy while they dine!

Things to Do

Finding things to do in Patchogue isn't tricky. The village has a lot of entertainment venues to attend and events that are always coming up. Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts has things going on all the time. Whether you want to see a musical or regular play, they're putting them on constantly.

Patchogue has several festivals each year too. One of the most popular festivals is called the Music on the Bay Festival. As the name implies, this is a festival where many artists come to perform. Another music festival in Patchogue is the Alive After Five Festival. Like Music on the Bay, there are dozens of vendors and live music, as well as nightly giveaways!

If you're a fan of New Year's Eve, there's a lovely fireworks show to attend. Countdown to the new year at Patchogue!
