The Steam Room is also a New American restaurant that serves seafood and sandwiches. Many locals think of this place as a Port Jefferson tradition!
 
RUVO is an Italian restaurant with a bar chain and authentic Italian food. Try out one of their signature Ruvo Salads or mini rice balls filled with fennel sausage. You won't regret it! Prohibition is another great restaurant in Port Jefferson that serves a variety of different foods. From barbeque to burritos, their menu is full of good food. Nearly everyone can find something they've got a craving for on the menu.
 
Looking for a nice place to grab a beer? Then try out Port Jeff Brewing Company. This microbrewery has a tasting room as well. Support the local businesses in your area by grabbing a drink from Port Jeff. Pindar Tasting Room, officially known as Pindar Vineyards, is a go-to wine store when you want good wine. Their tasting room is open seven days a week until 5:30 PM, with indoor and outdoor seating available.

Things to Do

Theatre Three is a performing arts center in Port Jefferson. It's located in Athena Hall and is a nonprofit company. There are one-act plays, school performances, comedy, children's plays, and educational touring. You can also attend the Drama Academy to learn more about performing arts! If you're more of a movie person, you can check out the Port Jefferson Cinema, where they showcase the most recent movies.

Go ice skating at the Rinx! They're only open in the winter, but the fun is worth the wait. You can even take classes on figure skating and typical ice skating. Pirate's Cove is a local park in Port Jefferson. It's a very popular spot in Long Island where you can learn about eco-friendly shopping, outdoor life, and the animals that inhabit the village.
